frequently asked questions

What can the client expect from NEAPRI in regards to confidentiality?

Our team understands the sensitive nature the homeowner may be experiencing. In fact, it’s an act of bravery to come forward and look for help when it involves the paranormal. Despite this field being in the limelight and more readily accepted, many still see this merely as attention seeking and dimly viewed by anyone coming forward with an “alleged experience”.

Our team under no circumstances will distribute, share information or evidence unless authorized by the homeowner. We provide multiple layers of confidentiality detailed in paperwork that we ensure the client thoroughly understands prior to an investigation requiring signatures by all parties involved.

What exactly is the process leading to an investigation?

Generally we’ll receive an email by a prospective client which leads to a phone call. A series of questions are asked outlining the nature of the experiences. We then make arrangements to have three of our most trusted team members to meet with you to survey the situation and discuss in depth the nature of the occurrences.

Within forty-eight hours of our initial preliminary investigation, we will contact the homeowner and discuss the possibilities of a warranted future investigation if need be. Sometimes we’re able to solve what seemingly is perceived as paranormal to be naturally occurring and a future investigation might not be necessary.

How much does NEAPRI charge for their services?

As with any reputable paranormal team, our investigations are at no cost. Our members see investigations as a labor of love and a process of education in the field. Donations are accepted but not required under any circumstances.

Do you investigate outside of Connecticut?

Yes we cover up to three hours of travel one way. This means we’re willing to travel to Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York. In the event the travelling distance is too great, we’ll refer you to another reputable team within your area. NEAPRI networks with dedicated, experienced and knowledgeable groups.

What does NEAPRI expect from the client if an investigation is agreed upon?

NEAPRI utilizes highly sensitive equipment in both audio and video requiring minimized contamination for a productive investigation to take place. During our preliminary investigation client expectations are explained with a signed copy required from the homeowner.

Our team also expect the client to journal his experiences in detail during the process between our first contact and the actual investigation. This may give us further indication on activity and more appropriately scheduling for the investigation.

How long does an investigation take?

A typical investigation last approximately six hours including our 90 minute setup and breakdown period. Once the investigation is over, many hours are spent sifting through the gathered data. Video footage is the most painstaking as each channel needs to be reviewed seperately. Within twenty-one days from the investigation, the homeowner will be contacted by our team with a full report.

Sometimes we may suggest a return visit because phenomena will not perform on cue. If this occurs, we’ll make arrangements accommodating the homeowner.

Does NEAPRI use psychics, mediums or divination tools at investigations?

NEAPRI chooses in evaluating situations by capturing phenomena with technology. Empirical evidence with critical thinking lead us to a more defined assessment. We certainly acknowledge the importance of the human element but in a more clinical fashion. Divination tools have proven to be a difficult tool for evaluation.
